Duck Update

Just before we moved in to Shingle Cottage i told you about the pretty little duck nesting outside our bedroom window...Well the night i moved in she was there all tucked up in her feathery little nest with lots of fluffy little bundles popping in and out from under her feathers,What a joy to see!

The next morning i heard lots of noise in the front garden and went to investigate,The duck had decided it was time to take her brood to a local pond but she couldn't get them out of our cottage garden so i had to go out and open the gate for her and this is what happened.....

How adorable?

I have uploaded lots of pictures and i am finishing off a lamp shade this afternoon so i can start showing you pictures of our Shingle Cottage all dressed up but i have a beachy post coming up from our walk last Sunday.

I hope you are all well and thank you for hanging on in there while i get everything organized here, there is still so much up in the air but you all now what that's like after a move don't you?

Sorry to be away so long....

Phew at last i am back online and have a house phone,We had a bit of a nightmare getting connected and what should have taken three weeks ended up taking until this Tuesday which has made things difficult as you can imagine.

We are all moved in but still finding places for everything.....There is painting going on here and building going on there....Putting things here and then moving them there......

Outside the flowers at  Shingle Cottage  are blooming and the delphiniums we planted have really taken off and it's starting to look like the cottage garden we have dreamed about for so long....Beatrix just loves  lounging on her wicker chair until the sun sets and is loving her new outdoor life,She even had a little paddle in the sea last weekend and from what i hear we are in for another beautiful weekend so there is a good chance she will be splashing about again.

I have lots to tell and show you and i will be  uploading pictures from my camera and sitting down to write all about it really soon.

Join me in the next few days for more tales and goings on from Shingle Cottage...
